Types of Psychrometers
There are two main types of psychrometers:

Principle of Operation
Psychrometers measure moisture content based on the principle of evaporation. The wet-bulb thermometer reads a lower temperature than the dry-bulb thermometer due to evaporative cooling. The difference between the two temperatures, known as the wet-bulb depression, is used to calculate the relative humidity of the air.
